Squareball Entertainment singer-songwriter Eli Jae returns with a magnetic new single, Your Body, the follow-up to his steamy track, Sexual Healing, and a standout from his upcoming debut album, Soundtrack to Great Sex. Produced by the highly acclaimed record producer LeriQ, the sultry, hypnotic R&B cut is a masterstroke in mood and sensuality.
Your Body is an ode to desire in its purest, most physical form. With a slow-burning tempo, velvety textures, and Eli’s emotionally expressive vocals, the track captures the electricity of unspoken connection. His delivery is fluid and confident, yet deeply vulnerable, as he croons, “Your body is calling my body… I like it, don’t stop, girl,” inviting listeners into a private moment where passion and energy speak louder than words.
The track pulses with warm basslines, ambient synths, and subtle Afrofusion elements—hallmarks of LeriQ’s production style—creating a lush sonic backdrop that feels tailor-made for late-night drives, dim lights, and close conversations. It’s a sound that perfectly complements Eli Jae’s lyrical intimacy and vocal finesse.
Your Body doesn’t just extend the narrative of Soundtrack to Great Sex—it deepens it. Where SexualHealing leaned into emotional vulnerability, this follow-up dives confidently into physical chemistry, offering a different but equally compelling facet of modern love and connection. It’s a slow jam that respects the legacy of classic R&B while pushing the genre forward with Eli’s distinctive voice and global influences.
With each release, Eli Jae continues to position himself as a bold new voice in contemporary R&B—effortlessly merging soul, Afrofusion, and modern production into music that is emotionally resonant and undeniably sexy. Your Body is more than just a song, it’s a full-body experience.

Here are the unforgettable moments from Rema's HEIS concert held at the Madison Square Garden in the US on Friday, May 2, 2025.
On Friday, April 26, 2024, Nigerian music sensation Rema made history by headlining Madison Square Garden (MSG) in New York City. The event marked a major milestone not just in his career but in the global recognition of Afrobeats.
Known for his genre-bending sound and magnetic stage presence, Rema's MSG performance was a cultural statement that reverberated across continents. It wasn't just a concert, it was a proclamation. Here are four unforgettable moments that made Rema's MSG debut truly iconic.
The Birth of the Big Four
In the midst of his electrifying set, Rema made a bold declaration, as he performed, statues of Afrobeats giants Davido, Burna Boy, and Wizkid were revealed on stage towering symbols of the genre's current powerhouses. But by including himself alongside these legends, Rema wasn't just seeking validation; he was claiming his rightful place among them.
The crowd roared in approval, and the statement echoed online for days. This moment marked a new chapter in the evolution of Afrobeats, with Rema positioning himself as a central figure in its next era.The singer after his performance sang a line from his popular song, HEHEHE as he made his way backstage, as he sang, "There is no more Big Three. There is now a Big Four."
In the middle of the high-energy show, the vibe shifted to something more intimate and joyful. Rema's team and his brother surprised him on stage with a birthday celebration. Fans sang along as the stage lights dimmed and a birthday cake was brought out.
The unexpected gesture added a personal touch to the night, reminding everyone that beyond the global star is a young man surrounded by love and support.
Honored With a Plaque for headlining a concert at the MSG
After the show, another monumental moment unfolded, as the Afrobeats star, Rema, was presented with a plaque by Madison Square Garden commemorating his debut at Madison Square Garden.
In a heartfelt tribute, Rema brought out producer and record label manager Don Jazzy, the music mogul and head of Mavin Records who first believed in his talent. The audience erupted as the two shared a moment on stage.
Rema took the opportunity to thank Don Jazzy for his mentorship and for playing a pivotal role in shaping his journey.
Rema's Madison Square Garden concert was more than just a musical event, it was a defining moment in his career where he solidified himself as a leading figure of Afrobeats. From challenging industry hierarchies to celebrating his roots, every aspect of the night was carefully crafted and emotionally resonant.
If anyone ever doubted Rema's place in the pantheon of greats, his MSG performance put those doubts to rest. The Big Four is here and Rema made sure the world took notice.
Nigerian street-pop sensation Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, popularly known as Portable, has taken to social media to raise alarm over a troubling issue with his First Bank account.
In a video that has since gone viral, the controversial artist revealed that although his account continues to receive deposits, he has been unable to access or withdraw his funds.
Speaking in a surprisingly calm tone, Portable appealed to First Bank to urgently address the situation. He expressed deep concern about visiting the bank’s branch in person, especially in light of the recent arrest of online personality Verydarkman (VDM). VDM was reportedly apprehended at a GTBank branch over alleged illegal withdrawals from his mother’s account; a development that has left Portable wary of experiencing a similar ordeal.
Addressing widespread speculation, the Zazoo Zeh hitmaker firmly denied any involvement in fraudulent activities, insisting that his earnings come from legitimate sources such as music streams, endorsements, and live performances.
In a separate video, Portable made a startling claim, stating that his First Bank account holds over N400 billion. He disclosed that he recently received payments from global music platform Apple Music and emphasized his urgent need to access his funds.
As of now, First Bank is yet to issue an official statement regarding the matter.
Nigerian Afrobeats star Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, took a heartwarming moment during his sold-out show at Madison Square Garden (MSG) in New York to honour music icon and Mavin Records founder, Michael Collins Ajereh, famously known as Don Jazzy.
In a video from Madison Square Garden making waves on social media, Don Jazzy was seen joining Rema on stage before attempting to exit quietly. However, the 24-year-old hitmaker stopped him in his tracks, seizing the opportunity to publicly celebrate the veteran producer’s enduring impact on the Nigerian music industry.
Addressing the massive crowd, Rema emphasized the importance of giving industry pioneers their deserved accolades while they are still here. He praised Don Jazzy for his countless, often unspoken contributions to the careers of many Nigerian artists and the growth of the Afrobeats genre globally.
“I want to give you your flowers right in front of these many people… There are so many things you’ve done for the game that you don’t talk about, that people don’t talk about. You have changed so many lives and I just want to say I’m grateful from the bottom of my heart and I love you so much,” Rema declared, drawing cheers from the audience.
The moment has since sparked widespread admiration online, with fans and fellow artists applauding Rema for acknowledging one of the key figures behind the success of many Afrobeats stars.

Afrobeat star and outspoken activist, Seun Kuti, has weighed in on the arrest of controversial online critic, VeryDarkMan (VDM), offering new claims about the forces behind his detention.
In a recent statement, Seun Kuti alleged that Nigeria’s powerful religious leaders and certain financial institutions are responsible for the critic’s ordeal, accusing them of using their influence to silence voices that challenge the status quo.
According to Seun Kuti, his information came from a conversation with Deji Adeyanju, the lawyer representing VeryDarkMan. Kuti revealed that both he and VDM are being represented by the same legal counsel, as he is also currently engaged in a separate legal battle against Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) and other banks.
“VDM’s lawyer is my lawyer, and we’re handling a case against GTB and other banks. To me, there’s no good bank in Nigeria,” Kuti stated.
He further claimed that religious authorities in the country are actively involved in suppressing VeryDarkMan’s voice for speaking what he described as “uncomfortable truths.”
“As the Federal Government runs Nigeria, these big pastors run it too. It’s the so-called people of God that are fighting VeryDarkMan for telling the truth,” Seun Kuti added.
VeryDarkMan’s arrest, carried out by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Abuja, has continued to stir outrage online, with citizens demanding his release while authorities remain tight-lipped on the reasons behind his detention. Earlier reports also implicated GTBank in the case, though official details remain scarce.
Amid the controversy, social media chatter has suggested possible links between VDM’s arrest and a gospel singer, rumored to be Mercy Chinwo, who is currently embroiled in a legal dispute with her former record label boss, Eezee Tee. However, no confirmed connection has been established.
As the situation unfolds, Seun Kuti’s claims have added a new dimension to the case, highlighting concerns about the alleged role of influential religious and financial institutions in targeting outspoken voices in Nigeria.
Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck and veteran singer Wande Coal have both taken to social media to dish out timely advice to rising music stars, warning them about the realities of the music business.
On May 2, 2025, Odumodublvck sparked conversation on X when he addressed the dangers of signing early record label deals without adequate preparation. The rapper, fresh off his Next Rated win at the 17th Headies Awards, urged aspiring musicians to stay away from advances if their careers and artistry aren’t fully developed.
“Dear upcoming artist, if you know your music is not ripe, stay away from an advance. You do not want to be owing an organisation so much money. You will die a debtor,” he warned. Odumodublvck emphasized the need for patience, hard work, and readiness before chasing major deals or financial backing, adding that rushing into contracts could trap artists in long-term debts.
Just a day later, on May 3, 2025, award-winning singer and songwriter Wande Coal echoed the same concerns in a post on his X page. In his message, the Ololufe crooner questioned the resolve of young artists eager to dive into the competitive music scene.
“Are you sure you really want to do this music business? You must be very sure oooo,” Wande Coal wrote, hinting at the tough, often unseen struggles behind the glitz and glamour of the entertainment world.
The advice from Odumodublvck and Wande Coal comes at a time when conversations around financial literacy, fair contracts, and artist development are gaining momentum in the Nigerian music industry. Their messages have since gone viral, sparking debates among fans and creatives.
DEAR UPCOMING ARTIST
IF YOU KNOW YOUR MUSIC IS NOT RIPE
STAY AWAY FROM AN ADVANCE
YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE OWING AN ORGANIZATION SO MUCH MONEY
Man City in a shocking turn of events have made their first player transfer move ahead of the June 2025 window.
The latest transfer update has now confirmed that Man City have reported made their first player move ahead of the 2025 June transfer window. According to seasoned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano Man City have opened talks to sign Nottingham Forest's talisman, Morgan Gibbs White.
It has been revealed that Morgan Gibbs White is viewed as a possible replacement for Kevin De Bruyne who is expected to leave Man City at the end of the 2024/2025 Premier League season.
Manchester City are prioritizing the addition of an attacking midfielder during the upcoming summer transfer window, with Nottingham Forest's Morgan Gibbs-White emerging as a leading candidate. While the club also holds a strong interest in Bayer Leverkusen's Florian Wirtz, Gibbs-White is currently seen as the more attainable option for a move to the Etihad.

Although it may be premature to consider Gibbs-White a direct successor to De Bruyne, there is growing confidence that he could be the club’s first acquisition of the summer.

Bayern Munich have been confirmed Champions of the 2024/25 Bundesliga season which invariably ended the trophy drought of Harry Kane.
Bayern Munich had to wait for Bayer Leverkusen's result against Freiburg after they themselves failed to get a win against RB Leipzig a day earlier. Xabi Alonso's side had to win at Freiburg on Sunday to mathematically stay in the hunt, were held to a 2-2 draw that crowned the Bavarians this weekend after all.
This trophy is the Bavarian 12th Bundesliga title in 13 years but the very first for England's captain, Harry Kane. He was forced to watch on against RB Leipzig after picking up a fifth yellow card of the season, moving to the touchline in expectation before Poulsen put a pause to the party in the 94th minute.
Kane will be available for the home game against Monchengladbach on Saturday, May 10, 2025 as Bayern will be celebrating with their fans at the Allianz Arena. He had in the past lost Champions League and Carabao Cup finals at club level and twice lost European finals with England.
This is also a big trophy for Vincent Kompany who was not given a chance to succeed at Bayern because of his lack of experience at the top. This is his second trophy in two years after he led Burnley to winning the Championship during the 2022/23 season.
Nigerian music stars Davido and Portable have thrown their weight behind the growing public outcry demanding the release of online critic VeryDarkMan, following his controversial arrest at a GTBank branch in Abuja.
Popular Nigerian singer David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has publicly called for the release of controversial social media critic, VeryDarkMan, following his recent arrest in Abuja.
The online activist, whose real name is Martins Vincent Otse, was reportedly apprehended by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on May 1, 2025, after accompanying his mother to a branch of Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) to resolve issues concerning missing funds from her account. The arrest sparked widespread outrage online, with many Nigerians condemning the incident and demanding his immediate release.
Joining the growing voices, Davido took to his official X account to express his support for VeryDarkMan. The 30BG boss highlighted the positive impact the critic has had on people's lives and praised the solidarity shown by Nigerians rallying behind him. Davido wrote: "Outside all the noise, it’s good to see that the good one does actually impacts lives and people appreciate! The support I’m seeing for VDM everywhere is encouraging… makes one want to do more for the masses. FREE MY GUY.”

After Davido, another notable voice advocating for the freedom of VeryDarkMan is street-hop singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable. Despite their previously rocky relationship, Portable took to Instagram to show his support.
In his post, the Zazu crooner emphasized that personal differences should not stand in the way of doing what’s right. He described VeryDarkMan as a generous individual who often helps the less privileged and urged authorities to release him.
"Please make una help us free VeryDarkMan. He is my friend. If we’re fighting, it doesn’t mean it’s till death. He gives people food, he helps a lot of poor people, so I love people who help people. Make una free VDM," Portable appealed.
Portable also criticized those who threatened to close their accounts with GTBank following the incident, warning against hasty decisions. He lamented the growing trend of using law enforcement to settle personal scores and called for forgiveness for VeryDarkMan from those he may have offended.
As public pressure continues to mount, many Nigerians await updates from the EFCC regarding the circumstances of VeryDarkMan’s arrest and possible release.
Nigerian singer Skales has shared a shocking story about a night he spent in a police cell, revealing he was once forced to perform for fellow inmates.
The artist made the revelation during a candid chat with Zikoko media, where he opened up about the incident involving a powerful Nigerian billionaire.
According to Skales, he and his manager were arrested following a dispute with the billionaire. While his manager was detained, the police asked Skales to leave, but he refused, insisting he wouldn’t abandon his colleague. His decision landed him behind bars for the night.
Inside the cell, one of the inmates quickly recognised the singer and questioned why a celebrity would be in jail. Skales explained his ordeal, and as word spread among other detainees, he was asked to meet the cell’s informal leader. The cell boss requested a performance, offering him a mat to sleep on instead of the bare floor in exchange.
Skales obliged, performing his hit songs Shake Body and Emergency for the inmates. The performance earned him sympathy, with the cell boss saying he didn’t deserve to be locked up. The singer described the experience as humbling and highlighted the poor conditions within the detention facility.
He added that detainees only get food when their families send money, a harsh reality he witnessed firsthand. Upon his release, Skales returned with food for the inmates as a token of appreciation for how they treated him during his time in custody.
