Following the attempt to arrest him yesterday by his former label boss, Kizz Daniel, Demmie Vee has revealed the reason for the attempted arrest plus message to Kizz Daniel.
This message was posted by Demmie Vee on Instagram in the early hours of Sunday, 7th of April where the former Flyboy artiste accused Kizz Daniel of deception.
According to Demmie Vee, Kizz had tricked him to collect the sum of 15Million naira from him to boost his own (Kizz Daniel) career and the CEO of Flyboy INC, rather than to pay when Demmie requested for it, he mobilized police to Demmie Vee’s crib. The singer went on to reveal that Kizz Daniel had approached his boss, whose name wasn’t mentioned, for help and that had led to them signing the record deal between Demmie Vee and Flyboy INC.
Demmie Vee further stated that he wasn’t a struggling artiste when Kizz Daniel had begged him to come join Flyboy INC and he had joined the label without knowing Kizz Daniel’s “real intention”. Speaking of the song they have together, Demmie Vee revealed that Kizz Daniel had changed his own voice, although the reason for that was not stated. Kizz Daniel has not responded to Demmie Vee as at when this post was written.

Simi has lent her voice to the never-ending internet crime that has taken strong roots in Nigeria, depriving Nigerians of opportunities all over the world.
She made the statement through her Instagram stories where she encouraged Nigerians to do better and be more cautious about protecting the name that they have rather than giving it all off for cyber crime.
The singer revealed that she’;s hurt that despite the number of people fighting against Cyber crime, people are still doing their best to spoil the name of the country hence hindering people’s growth because they’re so many counties who wouldn’t want to do business with Nigerians because of the track record of internet fraud.
Do you know how many Nigerians go for business meetings or just to even get the smallest opportunity for themselves to make it and they leave with nothing because they’re Nigerians, that is the only excuse that they get. “sorry we cannot work with Nigerians”
Simi opened up that she cannot watch an issue like this continue to go wrong and keep quiet. In her words “I care and I’m not passive.” and if talking will make you stop listening to her music, the singer says she doesn’t care as she doesn’t expect people to like her or listen to her songs if what she has to say about cybercrime affects them that much.
She went on to encourage Nigerians all over to stop focusing on the government but to focus rather on collectively building a country everyone can be proud of.

Efe Ogbeni, who is known in entertainment circles as Efe One, a Nigerian, is a mogul in the American entertainment business. He holds several prestigious positions in globally leading companies including being a joint venture partner with IGA & IDJ ( a multi-million dollar partnership on Zander Bleck and Prince Charlez), Rondor Music Publishing as well as Sony ATV where he signed and provided world-class publishing opportunities for leading African producers such as Shizzi, Spellz, and Kiddominant (producer/co-writer of Fall by Davido).
He is famously known as one of the hotshots in the entertainment scene, revered as a top promoter and club owner in Atlanta. He owns a record label which is known as Regime Music Society.
Efe One has gained quite a reputation in the music industry and is well known for being responsible for hit songs as a reputable A&R and bringing many artists to the limelight. He has worked with spectacular acts including Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, Akon, Lil Wayne, Pitbull, and others. He currently manages different talents such as Aussie powerful vocalist Grace Sewell as well as producer for Nicki Minaj, Parker Ighile, who is also signed to Nicki’s record label as an artist.

He also holds several A&R credits especially for his tremendous work for Enrique Iglesias on his Euphoria album. Quincy Jones nominated Efe to A&R some records on the Soul Bossa Nostra album which was released in 2010.
It should be noted that Grace Sewell‘s You Don’t Own me went Platinum in the USA and 4x Platinum in Australia. He helped negotiate a publishing deal with BMG for Parker Ighile, providing the opportunity for the young talented producer to write and produce some beats for Rihanna (What Now), Nicki Minaj (Hell Yeah) and Grace Sewell projects.
Before Efe decided to shift his focus to Afrobeats, he had successfully worked on numerous projects including managing and acting as A&R for production genius Red one – the Moroccan producer who produced some of the most remarkable songs on Lady Gaga’s debut studio album and her sophomore album. Efe was also responsible for Lady Gaga meeting with Akon.
Efe is a manager to African superstar Davido and he had a hand in the massive deal that the Afrobeats act signed with Sony Music Entertainment in 2016. In an interview, Davido revealed that Efe orchestrated his collaboration with American giant Akon.

Although, not many people are aware, Efe has played a very big part in the success of Fall in the US market. With his extensive knowledge of the music business, Efe has helped Davido gain grounds massively in the USA. After securing for him a Sony record deal as the Executive Producer – and giving a firm structure to Davido’s career on the international scene – the Afrobeats singer’s career has reached lofty heights. He co-founded a company with Vanessa Amadi (Stealth Management) which handles management for Davido and Tiwa Savage alike.

Gidi Culture Festival announces more names to join the forward thinking line-up for the 2019 edition in Lagos this Easter – including the first returning show for Nigerian-born UK based artist Ray BLK, Kenya’s Blinky Bill, Ghana’s Joey B, DJ Cuppy, and Afro-Juju maestro SIR Shina Peters.
Ray BLK, is a British singer, songwriter, and rapper. She self-released her EP, Durt without any help from a label won the BBC’s Sound of 2017, becoming the first unsigned artist to do so. The R&B singer already has a Stormzy collaboration, played a set at Glastonbury Festival and a whirlwind tour of America under her belt. Having just sold out her biggest London headline show, Gidi Fest is excited to bring her back to her birthplace in Lagos for a significant show at Landmark Beachfront, Victoria Island.
Speaking on her return to Lagos, Ray BLK says: “I’m very excited to be coming back to my hometown to perform. It will be my first ever live performance in Nigeria.”
Blinky Bill is a trailblazer on the Kenyan urban scene, with his debut album Everyone’s Just Winging It and Other Fly Tales standing as one of the most progressive albums off the continent in 2018. The DJ and producer who is the backbone of the collective “Just an Band” toured in France and the UK. He has also played at The Cape Town Jazz Festival, Littlegig in Stellenbosch, the TED Conference in Vancouver and has been included in the 2018 Yerba Buena Centre of the Arts YBCA100 – a list of 100 people shifting culture and creating change. His music is a mix of electronic music, futuristic African beats, funk, and hip-hop
Joey B, is a Ghanaian Hip-Hop recording artist well known for his single “Tonga“. Joey B has collaborated with artists such as Sarkodie, EL, Fuse ODG, Edem and many others. The rapper’s music has been influenced by several artists, such as Kanye West and Kid Cudi.
DJ Cuppy also joins the bill this year. Representing a new generation of African women with truly global. She launched her music career in 2014 as the resident DJ for MTV Africa Music Awards and has since made a name for herself in the scene.
Nigeria’s Afro-juju legend, SIR Shina Peters, would be delivering a nostalgic performance with some of his classic hits like “Afro-juju”, “Ijo Shina” and “ACE” to name a few. His style of music offers a powerful fusion of juju, Afro-Beat, and intense Fuji-style percussion, leaving fans in ecstasy after every performance.
