Reports now indicate that England international Jadon Sancho is set to make a move from Man United to another club in the January 2024 transfer window.

Jadon Sancho is reportedly set to depart from Old Trafford on loan if the terms are finalized between Manchester United and his former club side Borussia Dortmund.

The contract of the English player at Manchester United will end in 2026, and the club has the option to extend it for another year. However, Sancho hasn't featured in any fixture for the Red Devils since United's 3-2 win against Nottingham Forest on August 26, 2023. The winger was called out by Man United's head coach Erik Ten Hag for his performance and form at the club.

Sancho however took to social media defending himself and has been training separately from the main team since then. As a result, he hasn't been included in any matchday squads. Manchester United has been open to receiving offers for Sancho, but a resolution to the issue is not in sight. Now, there's a possibility that Sancho might return to his former club, Dortmund.

According to sports journalist Fabrizio Romano, Jadon Sancho is interested in making the move back to the Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund from Man United in the January 2024 transfer window.

The English Premier League body are not taking their time in punishing any club that breaks the financial fair play rule during any transfer window.

Nottingham Forest are the next club that could be hit with the body's hammer after Everton got ten points deducted from their accumulated points for violating the league's FFP rules. According to The Times, Nottingham Forest are reportedly set to be the next club who could be facing charges after making huge amount spending since their promotion to the Premier League in 2022, they run the risk of breaching profit and sustainability rules (PSR).

The Premier League has brought in a new system which deals with charging clubs for breaching rules quicker, imposing points deductions where necessary. This means that all 20 clubs have to submit their accounts for 2022/23 by December 31 and any breaches are announced by January 14.

The clubs will then have two weeks to respond to the charges if they are imposed with a hearing to be carried out by April 8 at the latest by an independent commission. It means that Premier League clubs and their legal departments must conclude their appeals before the end of the season.

The rule states that clubs can make a maximum loss of £105million over a rolling three-year period or £35m a season.

The players were nominated based on their performances for both club and country last year( 2023). FIFPRO released the shortlist on its official X account on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 with Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi being the shocking name on the 23-man list.

What did CAF President say on the broadcasting rights?

The President of CAF, Patrice Motsepe, confirmed the television rights in a statement which was released on the body official website.

He said,

"The Media Rights Agreement with New World TV is the biggest investment by a Pan-African broadcaster in CAF’s history. We are very proud to partner with such a globally competitive and innovative broadcasting company which has adapted quickly to the changing demands and viewing patterns of the modern football audience. New World TV is also introducing new ways of consuming video content through its strong partnerships with various mobile operators and its television networks.”

Nigerian music producer Sarz has revealed the story behind the collaboration with Asake and American rapper Gunna on the track Happiness.

In an interview with Billboard's Catrise J, Sarz shared that he sent the record to Gunna, who immediately loved it, recognizing it as a perfect fusion of hip-hop, afro beats, and funk pop.

Before the release of Happiness, Sarz expressed his intention to create more than just a song, aiming to craft a "symphony of joy that transcends borders" with Happiness. The collaboration is described as a celebration of unity, cultural diversity, and the universal language of happiness.

The track which is now available on all major streaming platforms, is accompanied by a music video directed by Edgar Esteves, known for his work with artists like French Montana and Nicki Minaj. The video has amassed over 3.2 million views on YouTube and is currently number 13 on trending music.

As preparation for AFCON 2023 commences for the Super Eagles of Nigeria, here are key players who have arrived in the Eagles camp in Abu Dhabi ahead of the tournament.

With the first training for the Super Eagles of Nigeria led by head coach Jose Peseiro and his coaching staff behind closed doors and with no media personality around, The NFF has confirmed the 22 players out of 25 that are currently in camp ahead of AFCON 2023 which will commence on Saturday, January 13, 2023, in Ivory Coast.

Following the official confirmation that Wilfred Ndidi will not be available for Nigeria at the Africa Cup of Nations 2023, his replacement Alhassan Yusuf has arrived in camp and top stars like Victor Osimhen and Wiliam Troost-Ekong are expected to arrive on Thursday, January 4, or Friday, January 5, 2024.

Manchester United's number one shot stopper, Andre Onana will in goal for the Red Devils when they play Tottenham in the Premier League.

There are reports from Athletic that Manchester United and the Cameroonian Football Federation ( FECAFOOT) have reached an agreement to have Andre Onana play for United a day before AFCON 2023 begins in Ivory Coast. United host Tottenham on January 14, while Camerron begins their quest to win the Africa Cup of Nations with an opening fixture against Guimea.

FECAFOOT agreed with United after both parties understood that losing Onana in a crucial league game might be a big blow in their quest to finish in the top four during a crucial part of the season. This lead to both parties reaching a compromise to ensure that Onana is available for both club and country.

The 27-year-old Cameroon international will now be able to play in United’s FA Cup third-round tie against Wigan Athletic on Monday, before the game against Spurs to Old Trafford six days later. He is expected to leave immediately for Ivory Coast after the league game against Tottenham and be available for Cameroon who face Guinea in their opening match on January 15, 2024.

However if Cameroon does not progress beyond the group stage, Onana might not miss any matches for United. The Indomitable final group game is on January 23, 2024, which is before United's potential FA Cup fourth-round match.
