Son Heung-Min ( Tottenham)

In an official announcement the African football association CAF has announced that there will be an increment in the prize money for the winners and runnerups of AFCON 2023.

It has now been confirmed that the winner of AFCON 2023 which will commence on Saturday, January 13, 2024 in Ivory Coast will receive a 40 per cent increase in the total prize money for the tournament.

It has now been announced and confirmed that the winner of AFCON 2023 in Ivory Coast will receive 7 million dollars.

Describing the reason for this increase the president of the football Federation Dr Patrice Motsepe confirmed, “CAF has made significant progress over the past two years in increasing the Prize Money of the AFCON and all its other major competitions. We have increased the Prize Money of the AFCON Winner to USD 7 000 000 which is a 40% increase from the previous AFCON Prize Money. I am confident that a portion of the Prize Money will contribute to developing football and also benefit all the football stakeholders, as well as assist our Member Associations with their administrations.”

Chelsea in an official statement has confirmed the departure of a first-team player on loan in the January 2024 transfer window.

The official statement which was shared by Chelsea today, Thursday, January 4, 2024, confirmed that the young midfielder Ian Matos who joined the first team from Norwich in the June 2023 transfer window will depart from the club to the championship side Huddersfield for the rest of the 2023/2024 club football season.

The official statement by the club read, "Alex Matos will spend the remainder of the campaign on loan at Championship side Huddersfield Town. The 19-year-old joined the Blues from Norwich City in the summer and quickly established himself in Mauricio Pochettino’s first-team squad. Matos, who is capable of playing in midfield or attack, made his Chelsea debut in our victory over Fulham in October and a second appearance came in the Carabao Cup win against Blackburn Rovers. Nigerian singer, Johnny Drille and his wife, Rima Tahini have joyfully marked their second wedding anniversary, and five years together.

The talented singer shared five wedding photos on his Instagram page on Thursday, January 4, 2024, expressing gratitude for the happiest five years and the beautiful two years of marriage.

In his caption, he said, "Thank you for the happiest five years of my life, and the most beautiful two years of marriage. You’re the best thing that ever happened to me and i’m glad i get to go through life with you. Happy Anniversary."

The "Believe Me" crooner and his wife exchanged vows on January 5, 2022, in a private ceremony. The news was not made public until a year later when Drille shared it, and Don Jazzy posted pictures from the celebration. Their relationship had been a surprise to many as Drille's status was unknown.

The couple met in 2018 at one of Drille's shows, both being part of Mavin Records, where Tahini worked as the director of A&R. In 2023, Drille disclosed that she was his first girlfriend, and within months, he knew he wanted to marry her.
